My friend Tavia was willing to do a little surgical procedure along with her other assignments today. She started with a digital block which worked very well or the rest wouldn't have been tolerated at all! Off came the damaged nail and I'm hoping in a couple of days it will look and feel better. Thanks Tavia. She got some practice - and I got some free medical care.

HELL Mom-That's just as bad as getting my big toe nail ripped off. That stinks!!
Kent-it's when she slammed it in the trunk of her car. She did a post on it a while back.

I remember the trunk story - that was Leisy's comment. We never realized how bad the finger was after the incident because we never saw pictures of her finger!! I would really have liked to chop off your fingernail Mom it would have been fun. Way to go Tavia! - Kent
Uuuugggghhh - ok I could never be a nurse. That totally grosses me out!! I'm glad it's going to get better, though.
I bet your finger is sore! Double Ew! Hopefully that will help you be more comfortable ... and help Kristy not dry heave every time she sees it. :)
