I-15 moves in

Here are the proposed changes by UDOT to the Orem Center Street off ramp. The homes and businesses in red will be taken out. Our home happens to be the one next to the house in red furthest top right. (There's an arrow pointing to it.) So our back yard will be right on the new 1200 West. What will that do to our property value? How about it Pam?! Are we screwed? Looks like they'll have to buy a small portion of our property.

I just keep thinking of the possitive-all of the neighbors with the crapy yards will be gone--maybe you'll get a free fence? No you are definatly screwed.

Do you want me to send you the discussions on eminant domain? In a few years you'll be able to sell high for commercial value. It may be just the thing you need to get into that mansion you want. In the mean time - enjoy all the construction woes. (Just drive east and avoid the freeway mess.)

You could open your own mini Trafalga - in your back yard.

This would be prime time to buy up some of the adjacent properties. If you could afford to hold them a few years and rent out the homes, I think you really could make some $$$.

I think you need to consider selling the house to some poor unsuspecting Mexican family as soon as possible. Or hang on and make it a State Farm Insurance Office/home when it becomes commercial. Or maybe you could put in a car lot and Brent can sell used cars there. It is going to be prime commercial property according to Pamela the commercial appraiser. Oh change, isn't it wonderful?

I'm so sad. We grew up in this house - I don't want it to be gone! That would be so weird. What are you going to do? When do you find out the details?
