Annual Birthday Getaway

It's always good to have someone to share a birthday with - especially since they're getting harder to take every year. It has been 20 years since we began our yearly golfing trip to St. George, and every year it seems better and better.
We golfed at Sand Hollow on Thursday. It wasn't the warmest day so the covered carts were nice. Thank goodness for lots of sunshine and no wind. It got up to around 55 degrees.

Here we are at a new course called the Kokopelli. It is so far out we were worried we might get to Kanab before the golf course. The scenary is amazing. It seemed like a great 4-wheeler type of adventure and what made it even better was to golf along the way.

The green fees included lunch made and served by a gourmet chef. We stopped between rounds to enjoy.

The sunshine and scenery were very enjoyable. The temperature got up to 65 degrees and we were basking!

This is a par 3 and YES, this is my drive. I did make one of my very rare birdies which was a lot of fun. At this point in our tourney, Brent and I were winning by 3 strokes but we had a terrible triple bogey and lost - once again. Dang you Pam and Randy!

Here's Pam and Rand planning their stradegy.

Here are the birthday girls - sadly officially seniors. (It did save us about $20)

Mr. Miller with his "Happy" golf face.

Rand is ready for competition.

We stayed in a condo close to Sunbrook but did all our golfing in Hurricane.

Here's Randy chillin before golf.

Pam is ready to go.

All in all we had lots of fun, lots of laughs and some good times.

Great pictures! I've been getting through the week with the fun memories of our awesome B-Day trip. I loved the gourmet lunch! The birdie was a highlight, and we are still basking in a glorious victory. I'm imagining the warm sunshine. I think it will be raining in St. George over presidents day. We celebrated on the right weekend! Hooray for senior discount (only it sucks when they ask if you want it- RUDE!)
